SHAMAN WITH ALLIGATOR HEAD

This hand-made work in black stoneware, kiln-fired and finished in gold patina, is the artist’s reproduction of an outstanding example of pre-Columbian artwork.  The original piece is an intricately crafted miniature gold medallion, now part of the collection of the Central Bank of Costa Rica.  This particular figure appears on Costa Rica’s 5000 colones banknote.
